“Hi! I’m Ebony, an entrepreneur, web developer and makeover maven dedicated to helping you create a beautiful brand and grow your business.
And I’d like to show you how to build a beautiful brand, too!”
How it all started…
I created Makemeovereb.com in 2007 initially as a fashion and beauty blog that covered my musings on hair, makeup and fashion. Writing a blog was a fun diversion from my regular 9-to-5 job (working in the IT department). I didn’t plan (or think) I could earn money from it back in 2007. But I did.
Well, so much has changed with blogging and how we connect online since then! Bloggers are now influencers that work with corporate brands for their marketing campaigns.
So, I decided to catch that wave and use my experience in beauty and IT (information technology) to help entrepreneurs and small business owners build their brand beautifully using the ever-changing digital world.
Companies I’ve Worked With
I believe in finding the beauty
When I was a child I liked creating doll clothes from socks. In high school (in the 1990s) I learned how to fashion marketing and a bit of website design. In my early twenties, I became a beauty consultant. My goal was always to find the beauty or create it.
In the four years that I worked in the eCommerce/marketing department of NCR, I brought that desire to beautify the projects of our clients (such as Suntrust Bank, Verizon Wireless, etc.).
Since moving on from the corporate grind, to the freelancer world, I believe it is important to showcase what’s beautiful in building your brand.
But you must see it first.
