Hi, my name is Ebony Looney, I makeover brands. I work with small businesses and entrepreneurs who are looking to build their business and create a beautiful way to connect their brand seamlessly.
The MMOE Back Story
I initially created Make Me Over, Eb as a fashion/beauty blog in 2007 as a compliment to my part-time network marketing beauty consulting business. The blog featured beauty makeover tips, product reviews and fashion/lifestyle event coverage.
Over time, I decided to bring all my experience to the blog and discuss beauty, branding and business tips for female entrepreneurs. And, I’ve been able to offer services that utilize my background in web development and marketing.
My Professional Back Story
My professional experience includes working with a diverse number of clients that include national brands, banks, state agencies, business coaches, creatives, small business owners and entrepreneurs just like me.
In high school (in the 1990s) I learned about fashion merchandising, marketing and a bit of web design. I learned how to use web code to create beautiful images. In my early twenties, I decided to delve more into the growing web design trend and learned how to create websites using HTML. This was long before WordPress was popular.
For four years, I worked at a leading international company doing a number of tasks that included: providing website support, content development, creating custom graphics, creating email-marketing campaigns and providing project manager support for national brands (to name a few. Suntrust Bank, Verizon Wireless, BlockBuster Express, AEG LIVE and King Arthur Flour).
For the past 10 years, I’ve used my experience working in a corporate environment to help entrepreneurs and small business owners (particularly consultants) leverage the ever-changing technology to build their brand beautifully on the web.
