Bridal Makeup Tutorials for Bronze Skin Tones

bridal makeup tutorial

I love a good makeup tutorial. In this post you will see three bridal makeup tutorial videos featuring women with Beige to Bronze skin tones. Their techniques are INCREDIBLE! For brides who prefer to apply their own makeup on their wedding day, these videos are for you! You might be inspired to do the makeup for your bridesmaids. I suggest hosting a bridal makeup party a few weeks prior to the wedding where everyone could practice their makeup application for the day. However, it might be wise to have a signature makeup palette with the colors of the day. This way everyone has a uniform look (like the models do in a runway fashion show).

Pitch at 1 Million Cups Columbia Networking Event

If you have a business don’t be afraid to present it and get feedback. That’s what 1 Million Cups is all about. In August, I had the opportunity to tell my business story, highlight a few client case students, and get feedback about moving forward at the Columbia, SC 1 Million Cups weekly meetup at Cromers.

I was absolutely nervous to speak to this group of entrepreneurs because I wasn’t sure how the group was going to react to my approach to marketing makeovers. Every presenter has to pitch their ideas, and state what their challenges are in their business. I felt like I was putting my self WAY out there and it was bit scary. However, I got thru it. If you have a business, talk about it. Get in front of like-minded business people and get their feedback. Networking groups such as 1 Million Cups Columbia provides this opportunity.

I’ve had the opportunity to listen to other local entrepreneurs tell their business story, learn about their business, ask questions, and provide feedback as well.  In the pic below, the owner of Drip Coffee tells us about his love of providing the best coffee to the downtown Columbia area.

About 1 Million Cups: 1 Million Cups (1MC) is a simple way to engage entrepreneurs in communities around the world. Each week, the 1MC program offers two local entrepreneurs an opportunity to present their startups to a diverse audience of mentors, advisors, and entrepreneurs. Presenters prepare a 6 minute educational presentation and engage in 20 minutes of feedback and questioning after they present. Entrepreneurs gain insight into possible ways they can improve their businesses, gather realtime feedback, connect with a community that truly cares about their progress, and walk away feeling like they have advanced their business. The audience also learns a great deal from the presentations. Whether this is through passively listening or deeply engaging with the entrepreneurs, there is much to learn every week from these dynamic and diverse communities. Find a location near you. The Columbia chapter has held meetups at Cromers on Huger Street.

What is a Clothes Swap

What to bring to a clothes swap

I recently have hosted several clothes swap parties at my home and I love them! They provide a good way for me and my girlfriends to get together and shop each others’ closets. It’s real easy to host a clothes swap. All you need are friends, food and fun.

The way it works is everyone brings a clothing item or two (or more) over to your home and then everyone swaps or trades clothes. It’s a lot of fun, and you’ll leave with something ‘new’ to you. Clothes swaps are a great way to get rid of clothes you no longer can fit or are not wearing. Any clothes not swapped can be donated to your charity of choice. It’s a win win for everyone.

On Saturday, July 19, 2014, I and several of my friends are hosting a Beauty & Style Lunch event that will feature a clothes swap, shopping with local vendors and a beauty bar. Each guest will be treated to lunch and a beauty gift bag. Don’t forget to grab your ticket to the event.

Use code MMOE10 to get $10 off your ticket price or use the link https://mmoebeauty2014.eventbrite.com/?discount=mmoe10

Not sure what to bring to the clothes swap? I show you examples of items you can bring in the video below.

So, have you ever attended a clothes swap? How was it? Would you host a clothes swap at your home? Let me know in the comments below.
