Canva makes it incredible easy to create a video thumbnail for your video.
The YouTube video thumbnail is usually the first image someone will see BEFORE they hit the play button. Typically, YouTube will take a screenshot from your video. However, you have the option to upload a custom video thumbnail image as well.

What You Can Include on the Video Thumbnail
- The name of the video – so when someone is scrolling thru, they can visually see the name of the video
- A photo of the main person in the video – who is the ‘main’ character of the video
- A screenshot from the video
- Your company logo
- Your brand’s colors
Why Use a Custom Video Thumbnail
- Visually appealing
- More likely to get clicks
